Sie spielten eine wichtige Rolle bei der Politisierung breiter Bev\u00f6lkerungsschichten und der Professionalisierung der liberalen und demokratischen Kr\u00e4fte im Vorm\u00e4rz und dar\u00fcber hinaus.
